Resumen:
La Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco acaba de estrenar la versión revisada de su principal instrumento de planeamiento territorial, con objeto de adaptarlo a los retos y enfoques disciplinares actuales. La protección del territorio por su valor ambiental es una responsabilidad que los poderes públicos deben abordar con urgencia a tenor de la persistente agudización de la crisis climática, que conduce al ejecutivo autonómico a diseñar una gestión que sea flexible, estratégica e integrada, y a apostar por un cambio sistémico de modelo territorial que esbozamos en el presente estudio.
Abstract:
The Basque Country has just released the revised version of its main territorial planning instrument, in order to adapt it to the current disciplinary challenges and approaches. The protection of the territory for its environmental value is a responsibility that the public authorities must urgently address due to the persistent worsening of the climate crisis, that leads the regional executive to design a flexible, strategic and integrated management, and bet on a systemic change of the territorial model that we outlined in this study.
